About My Logo

The barn depicted in my logo is from an actual painting of the dairy barn on our farm.  My mother in law, Carole (same name as I...different spelling), painted this painting for us decades ago and it still hangs on the wall of my basement studio.  This barn is almost 100 years old!  We were told that it was actually moved here from a nearby town after being disassembled board by board.  In fact, there are empty nail holes in the boards from when it was first erected in its earlier location.  As the story goes, it arrived by horse and buggy to our farm in pieces in 1934 where it was erected once again and currently stands as the largest dairy barn in our county!  It takes 110 gallons of paint to cover it - 100 red and 10 white for the trim.  This barn has been the background of my entire adult life, so I thought it fitting that it become the background of Farm Wife Soaps as well.

Thank you to my very talented daughter in law, Nichole, for turning a portion of that painting into the Farm Wife Soaps logo!
